[IMG] I remember when I was addicted to the photo competition full of anticipation, couldn't wait for it to start, couldn't wait for it to finish.....Then we had two,it seemed to take away the focus of THE PHOTO COMPETITION,now we want three........but that is fine by me,it is a fun thing and there are no Ã?£1000 prizes and this is a democratic site and the competitions are NOT compulsory.
    So there is no problem.

    Me too mate. :(

Although you did seem to win an awful lot, so maybe we need more comps to give others half a chance [IMG] :D

I am in favour of any new changes if it encourages more active participation in GC [IMG]

Even if I haven't been inspired enough to enter the last few months, I do still enjoy other peoples entries. [IMG]

I think roders said it all for me as well, it just sounds better than it would have done if I'd said it.(Does that make sence) :D

We are in danger of having too many comps I personally think, it would be nice perhaps to have just a section for posting pics of interest, (I know we have members gallery) but maybe it should be extended a bit (or we should just use it a bit more).
As for enharncment, well if you want the truth, I dont like it, if its in its own special section, then OK, but not mixed in with good "Honest" shots.

Marley you do a sterling job and it's very much appreciated.
I think that a straight from the camera shot taken in good light and well composed will beat an over enhanced image any time.
I've noticed that the current competitions are deviating away from the theme of gardening which is rather sad. I'm as much to blame as anyone but I do try to include an aspect of gardening in my shots.
Seasonality is a great subject and should realign the focus.
    Bring it on [IMG]

Agree marley is doing a great job, I,m not one for enhanced photos only because i wouldnt know how to do them, yet i do participate in selecting the best at the end of the month.
were i can i do try to take shots with something of a garden theme in them.
looking forward to being a part of the new comps and getting out more and taking more photos [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I like the idea of a seasonal comp and would go with the "as taken" and "enhanced" line, please don't mix them up.

[IMG] Well all in all I think there has been a pretty favourable response to the idea. I have taken all your views on board & I shall see what can be worked out. Simplicity being a key word.. Watch this space.. ;) [IMG]

[IMG] Ok everyone.. I have posted the new comp.! [IMG]

[IMG] It has been kept as simple as possible, so that you get show your photo at it's best. No Enhancements. Just your simple photo shown at it's best. You can correct it, if it is a little dark or not as sharp as the real thing etc. But otherwise no enhancement. We have our monthly enhanced comp for that. [IMG]

[IMG] I would like to thank you all for your help in getting this sorted out & up & running & of course to DaveW for suggesting it in the first place.. [IMG] So Thanks to Dave your new comp is up & running..! [IMG]

    Good Luck everyone. !!
I know there will be some fantastic photos over this beautiful season & there is plenty of time.
