What Fertiliser?

    Oh that's a good idea- I have those blue geraniums at the front and they are spreading and doing well - I love the colour, that will do for a few places thank you :) :)
    Will look for the pink things as well . I just need the soil to get warmer then I can start...

      Definitely don't grass it all. When you find the right plants it will look better and be lower maintenance than a lawn.

      Speaking of grass though. Have you tried some ornamental grasses? Some of them are very tough. I recently saw a huge group of pampas grass and my opinion of it was turned on its head. Magnificent! And so tough.

        Jack, Pampas is great until it starts to take over, when it is very difficult to dig out. The plumes tend to be stripped by sparrows and finches for nesting too, which leaves you with a sorry looking plant. :doh::)

          My neighbour has pampass grass, she's 84 bless her and over the last 8 years it's just grown into an ugly mess that she can't control, it's so sharp and has really spread out from the corners of her garden..the people who cut her grass won't touch it for some reason though!? It does look lovely in tall planters mind
