I really like weeding. One because you can really see where you have been, and two because I love discovering little seedlings to pot up and grow on. This always brings a smile to my face :)

I ALWAYS wreck my slippers by wearing them unintentionally to do stuff outside.

I must admit I love wandering around the garden, like everyone else, dead heading here and there, tying up leaning and wandering plants, and then sitting somewhere looking at the borders and garden in general just to see what I've missed and what else needs sorting out.:coffee: I have what I call "house shoes" [more like tennis shoes] for wandering around the house and I've often looked down while doing a job in the garden to see that I'm still wearing them, good job I've got two mats to wipe my feet before I get back inside the house:heehee:

Its a book my Brother has so far failed to lend me, about Men being out hunting all day just wanting to quietly stare at the fire in the evening & gather their thoughts about the day. While the Women being at the camp all day just wanting to talk.

for me, its anything, be it brushing up debris from the decking, weeding, digging over the borders, cutting the grass, planting, deadheading, painting..........

same in the house, i dont find anything a chore. i can't sit and relax, working in the house and garden is my kind of relaxation. :blue thumb:

That sounds so spot on. I've never understand why womenfolk feel so compelled to fill any silence they find with random chatter.

My newly planted Tree fern has been sulking but is now showing new knuckles so I'm happy (doesn't take much)
One upside of very sandy soil is the lack of slugs and snails, they just don't like it.:blue thumb:
