It's officially known as a profanity filter and it wasn't filtering the actual word macleaf used but that part of it which was identified as a listed word.

In another forum I wrote 'sniggered' and it came out as "sn(blackperson)ed". See, these computers aren't able to make judgement calls when a word contains a set of letters that comprise a disallowed word.

 

Well, what can chatterbox say ... I've no problems with any of the words that are used ... I was testing the water ...

 

Oh bum, I sn(blackperson)ed and dropped my topiary shears and now my bush is all to cock :eek:
