I Deeply regret to say, they have ALL disappeared from the nest and just over a week ago, I discovered this. I was getting just SO close to the hen and they were there on Thursday of last week, but going to check on the Friday, I found the nest Empty.

Today and as well as birds and a couple of private aircraft, we had Tremendous pleasure of a WW2 Hurricane fly over and Twice.

Nice bird capture. I now have time to just sit and listen and look and it suprising what one can see.
I spotted a blackies nest only by chance a few days ago whilst trimming some Montana on my garage, It was only the noise from two youngsters that attracted my attention and prevented me from ripping the lot down!
Great bee picture woo, you are getting really pratised at them.
Good day for me today I am going for my first real harvest of peas today for Sunday dinner. yummmm

Well, the parakeets are out in force outside today! Last count there were 12!! They are sooooo noisy but also big bully boys and have been a bit mean to the tit family that feed on our feeder! Fortunately, they prefer the garden next door mainly, so the little birds come to us for a feed!

My lupins are very popular with the bees this year, but they are virtually ignoring my lavender! No idea why! I'm off to steal some lady bird eggs this afternoon to attack the greenfly in my garden - wish me luck!! (any tips appreciated!)

Great shot Woo. I put a pic of one here a year or two ago but nothing like a clear as yours.:gnthb:

A work colleague of mine is travelling to Buckinghamshire tomorrow hopefully to see the rare Blue Hairstreak Butterfly. They only come down from the trees (in a very restricted area) for a few hours a day, only occasionally open their wings and only when partly sunny. There's optimism for you!!
