I found this little beetle on the Dunstable Downs recently. Unfortunately, I don't know what it is so I would like an ID please.

Poor pics but distant fuzzy shots of a Marsh harrier this afternoon (they fly so fast) and one (of three) juvenile Herons.
The Reserve Hide was my walking limit.:D

Kathy, we watched for an hour or so and eventually the pair rose up and flew around together, I just couldn't get them both in the frame.:(
They have been seen passing food to each other in flight which is usually a sign of having young.:thumb:

There were eight Herons, first time I have seem adults and juvenles together, a lone Egret looked lost amongst them.:)

Is anybody aware of a 'pink' butterfly? I swear it was pink.....and was around my small wildlife garden this afternoon.
