I hunted around & found one, reconditioned by Canon, 2 yr warranty from Canon for just under £100....!!!! So Thanks again Woo..! :wink::thmb::yho: Absolutely superb for that 2nd camera to just stick in your pocket..! :D

    Kedi absolutely super shot of the robber fly going about its business,the green beast looks like a bush cricket.
    Marley I was going to post a close up of a wasp I took yesterday I will not bother now as you have taken the definitive shot,well done.:thumb:

    Wonderful photos :gnthb:

    All during this week we have inundated with butterflies :yho:

    We have a large buddleia outside our kitchen window and it is covered in a whole variety of butterflies. Mrs shiney and I guess that there are well over 100 on it at any one time. What amazes us is that every so often they all take off and fly round in circles, en masse, for a few minutes and then either settle back onto the tree or sunbathe on the patio. I have counted 34 of them at one time on the patio.

    Photos of them flying just look like a mucky picture so I can only show you a few closer shots taken from the kitchen window.

    Nearly all the blooms have at least one butterfly on them and some have up to seven. They don't all segregate into their species but do seem to mainly keep to sharing a bloom with their own species.

    Great pics Shiney, and Lolli:gnthb: there are loads of Painted Ladies around now but I haven't seen many Peacocks.:(

    Kedi, The willow is now recovering from having about 20ft cut off it in the Spring and has got some clothes on :hehe:

    :dh:Not sure quite what was buzzing around me and decide to settle on my hand and whack me yesterday,but it caused me to scarper for home and a reach for the Periton!....Still swelling and causing some concern:skp:
