    Pal,sorry to hear about your hand.It looks pretty nastys00k:euw: A friend of ours who used to be a Pest Contol Officer got stung on his foot once when a Bee went down his work boot and stung him and he said his whole foot became swollen just like your hand has done and he had to get a fellow worker to come an pick him up and take him to the hospital because he couldn't drive:(

    I do hope you have been somewhere to get it sorted and pronto:thumb:

    I too would hope you have had that checked out at the hospital Pal-it looks like it will need more than a couple of piriton to settle it down. I was stung in Cyprus once by a huge hornet(the type that are so large they can carry their own luggage lol)-on my calf, it got a bit hairy as I lost feeling in the leg for two whole days-nasty things, but "carve a chunk completely out of the victim"! Much more serious.

    Lollipop did your calf really get a bit hairy?:flag::D Yes hairs are nasty things especially as we have to keep getting rid of them every few days:D:D

    Hi Bob I would say it was a female Southern hawker they are both hairy but the Brachytron pratense is more hairy than yours also the shoulder pattern is different,the photos are first class amongst the best I have seen well done.:gnthb:

    Those are brilliant close-up shots Bob - see what manual control does for you :gnthb:

    Woo - really great shots. I just can't get butterflies to stay still long enough, they always seem to see me coming and flutter off:( Leaves me something to aim for though!:D

    A good way to get butterflies, bees and anything that likes nectar to stay a little longer, itâ??s to drop some sugar or honeyed water onto a flower-head. :wink:

    Thanks Bob.Strawman,Walnut and Dave,Its probably because I use my 300mm lens a lot of the time Dave at a distance of about 6ft:)
