I agree, the photos on here are really very good. I like the butterfly in flight, too.

    Thanks for the encouragement [IMG]

The Large White was skittering about the Nasturtium leaves - possibly laying eggs. They seem to like them as much as brassicas and soon the leaves will be a mass of holes with little green caterpillars munching away. I just let them get on with it as they self seed all over the place anyway.

Edit: Hornbeam - I joind the Wild About Britain site (Posted pic in Weather cat.) but regarding IDs. The fly and wasp on the thistle are a complete mystery. Can't find any info. on either. The fly has dark red sides on its abdomen, that's what I was trying to get a pic of when the wasp apeared. I suspect it's one of the many gall wasps.

Frogesque - If you post photos in the "Unidentified" category on Wild About Britain, someone will ID them for you

Hi Roders/Marley, there's a lot of things here i'm catching up on, had a good hol but as it was between 34/41c daytime and around 28/29 at night most of the time we didn't get around to doing all the things we wanted to do as it was so sapping of energy. Not a very good time of year for wildlife or flowers so I don't have many pics.
