    Pal they are frequently seen down south and widespread on the continent we never see them up here, they have very short wings and cann't fly.

    Took these today, had to hold the flower stem with one hand and hold the camera with the other as he kept turning round.

    The camera is a Konica Minolta Dimage 7i which has a fixed lens 28mm to 200mm with a 2x digital zoom and a macro setting at 28 and 200. Its a Minolta GT lens 1:2.8-3.5 APO

    Lovely photo Pip, the only butterflies I get in my garden are cabbage whites:mad:. I think I'll have to have a look and see what plants I need to attract them in, I have a Buddleia bush in the wild corner but it's so late in flowering that all the butterlies are gone before it flowers.

    What a lovely shot, Pip, and that light green leaf sets the butterfly off beautifully. :)
