Lovely Bee on Osteo, Sis ... mine from today didn't come out as well ... then I found a neat feature on the camera .... :dh:

However, just a while ago, this was buzzing and flying over us and attempts to save our wildlife .... so not completely off topic .... :hehe:

It's one of the firecopters with water bucket. He was the lowest we have seen one but I had to hotfoot it out quickly and didn't have time to adjust the camera to zoom in close ... one day ....

Thanks Woo. I took a whole load of them today as the bees were buzzing all around this small clump of crocus. I shall put some more up tomorrow or Sunday.

We saw no end of these caterpillar tents on pine trees in the mountains in Cyprus -

 I wonder if your caterpillars are of the Cinnabar Moth Kedi as they are orange & black & live in a tent affair like that.. The Cinnabar is found all over Europe Western & central Asia.. They are day flying & are red & black in colour. Oh just found a pic.

I don't know, Marley, but if they are these, then there are going to be millions of them flying around later on. The pine trees were just loaded with these tents. Thanks for the possible ID and the lovely pic of the beautiful moth. Did you take it?

What a gorgeous duck! Aren't they the ones that love to feast on slugs? Could do with a pair of them in our garden.

    Thanks Robert.

Still no frogs spawing in the pond but we did have this early pair here last week on our lower patio.

After I'd photographed them from all sides, I carefully picked them up and put them in the pond -
