Hi Woo,good close up of the bee above:thumb: I took quiet a few photo's yesterday of bees and butterflies in my garden and at times it was quiet difficult, but I got there in the end.:p I am now waiting for Mr K to free up some disc space on the laptop again as I am running low and if I try to take them from the card reader with not enough space then the computer aborts the download:oops::( I'll get there in the end hopefully:D

I did the same thing last year and they came on a treat.
They have been outside during the day for the last two weeks and all looking mighty healthy.
I have the fleece on standby but looking at the long range for York its looking good:gnthb:

Thanks Robert for turning it round, now I just need to desipher it:D

You are doing well for up in York.We sowed our Runner Beans at the begining of May last year on the allotment, four to each pole and then had torrential rain which rotted a lot of them so had to start again. When the next lot showed, they were eaten by either young bunnies or pigeons so we had to try yet again and this time we surrounded them by so much fleece they romped away, though at the end of the season I could not get them to dry off and they were still giving us beans in October.:) Such is the joy of gardening, but they don't show you that on the gardening programmes:p:D

I must admit.. and Ive said it before on the forum.. I considered myself very lucky last year.
Nothing was attacked the whole season..
The only problem early this year was when I spotted some vine weevils in three pots. Luckily my tiny veg plot is clear.
I could not believe that lettuce just kept coming and coming, not a slug or snail in site!
What I do have is frogs and plenty of them.
Maybe its time to promote ponds on allotments as a home for our best friends.
Not quite sure how frogs could keep rabbits at bay.!

EVERY couple of minutes today, we have had to put up with Jets from RAF Marham SCREAMING Low overhead as if this is the ONLY flight-path they are allowed to use and so FORCING us to keep windows and doors CLOSED on a warm day and just to TRY to get some peace and quiet, but to NO avail.

    Can anyone identify this please?
We've very little about so far, just one or two bees and recently a hover fly.
This was sitting on a strawberry plant.

I think the legs are too long for a hover fly Woo. Could very well be wrong though!
