What is Looking Good in JULY 2021

We have two of these, bought, and two pink/yellow which are assumably bird seeded which are just blooming. Might see about a pic when I venture out again. I had a hedge years ago but I used to get a rash every time I trimmed it ... so up it came and now I have the Brugmansia and three Hibiscus planted there.

 

Let us see it then.

 

I have a few new plants but I need to take photos of them, I'll do it soon but it's raining now so maybe tomorrow

 

Unfortunately very few plants and even seeds, are sold over here with a proper and detailed label. That's why I very rarely use their latin names. This label just says, " Tropical Hibiscus " . Not even care instructions on the back of the label!

 

It's the same here unless you go to a proper garden centre and even then the labels can be vague. Sometimes it just says 'Foliage Plant' well that's obvious ..... to me anyway

 

Same here actually. You will remember not to leave it in the snow and cold, won't you?

Hidden Valley Hibiscus - Exotic, Tropical Hibiscus Hybrids

 

I find it's mostly Dutch grown plants that have pointless labels.

 

These are all in our new garden, does anyone know what they are called ?

Hello Flumpy. Your pink flowers look like Hibiscus syriacus (Rose of Sharon). I am not sure if the red and no clue on the other. However, someone will come along shortly to identify these.

 

@Flumpy the top one is a Clematis but I don't know the variety.
2nd one looks like Mallow
don't know the 3rd one
4th one is a Lavateria tree

Sorry, @Victoria is right on 4th one - Hibiscus.
But I think if Rose of Sharon as something totally different (Hypericum)

 

I had three of these in Alabama and we knew it as Rose of Sharon.

 

3rd one looks like Phormium.
