Although it would be good to have a general election to try and find a prime minister that isn't a muppet but the time it takes to sort that out would create even more chaos. We need a cabinet in place to make decisions whilst the election is being organised and fought over (hustings) as there will be nothing happening in parliament.

The rules are that parliament has to be dissolved for at least 25 'working days' prior to the election. What a parliamentary working week is would be anyone's guess. So a minimum of five peasant weeks without any scrutiny at all!

Can't have no government at the moment with the Ukraine war going on. The tories will definitely be using that one to not hold a GE, even though we absolutely should have one

From what I have seen on the news this morning the voters in the streets are calling for Bojo's return. It is a faction of his party that is against him. He does have a mandate from the people.
One Tory MP says he will resign the whip if Boris is re-elected.

Apart from a few Facebook accounts and Twitter accounts saying how annoyed/upset people are.

He's far too polarising a character. There would be nothing but in-fighting until the GE and nothing would get done, when all we need is for stability. The blues are going at the next election, I have no doubt about it but until we get there can we have a boring but feasibly competent body at the helm?

His mandate from the people was negated by his lack of leadership quality and him living on a different planet from us mortals with regard to his command of the language. He knew lots of big and obscure words but the word "truth" wasn't in his dictionary.

Much as I don't like his bluster and waffle, he is probably better than the other turds available.
He idiotically played into the hands of the opposition with all his denials and bluster, and payed the price.

If I was asked, Boris or Starmer, as in a general election, I'd go for Boris.
I really don't like those who sit next to Starmer.

I have already told my MP (Conservative), and I know him well, that if Boris gets back in and then there is a General Election I could not possibly vote for him. :old:
