Got more of the bulbs out.

Ordered some top soil that will be delivered sat

Swept sand into the patio. Fully underestimated how physically demanding that would be so only half done

Can't you get the boys running round and round outside the greenhouse. That should get the air moving. :)

Well hopefully this weekend , I can lift my Cactus Dahlias and final Begonias. Tomorrow fingers crossed for dry weather so I can clear the lawn of leaves etc. Next weekend put all the patio furniture under a big cover , then jet wash the patio . That's it really for a few months :dbgrtmb:
Indoor seed sowing starts end of January , chillies and sweetpeas.

I will be prepping and painting my shed door, planting bulbs, planting some creepers that I got reduced yesterday and raking leaves off the grass.

Got some of my new beds dug over and bulbs planted in them

unfortunately given myself a blister on the palm of my hand again

and the milkman had run out of topsoil so i didnt get any and still have bulbs to plant. Hoping i can find someone to take me to get some this week and i can get the last of the bulbs in asap

Apart from doing some more fruit tree pruning I finished building the new ShineyFrame. :blue thumb:

I put in the forty screws needed for stretching the wires. It was a bit awkward because I could only do that once the posts were up, and they're 8ft posts. Couldn't do it beforehand as they would have got in the way of the post thumper.

So the stretching up was back aching work. I couldn't stand on some steps as the ground is too soggy. Then I had to stretch 50 metres of wire for the framework. All the rest gets done for the start of the bean growing season. Putting in the canes for 200 plants and then tying them to the wires and stretching string across in a cat's cradle effect takes quite a time. Mrs Shiney does the bending needed for planting the beans.

Cleared the last of the leaves off the lawns , planted up some "Toad Lilys" arrived today in the post , and also re checked the bottom off the pots I can pick up in the grenhouse and found 7 slugs !!!
Finally packed away my begonia tubers, all nicely ripened on the staging in the greenhouse so I have placed into brown paper bags with a squirt yellow sulphur powder on them and in the frost free garage till late March before they go in the propagator .

Finally got into the garden :yahoo:
                        Cleaned out the pond
Lifted the cannas which have grown huge this year, had to leave half in the ground (not enough GH space).
Wrapped up the musa basjoo but have left the top 2 leaves out still growing

Raked leaves off the lawn, finished building greenhouse staging, cut down phlox and crocosmia stems, pulled a few weeds, lifted gladioli and planted the last 6 tulips I'd forgotten about! Got everything in the greenhouse organised, really happy with the staging- will post a pic on my thread.

Not outside but in, I've had to re-pot my houseplants again as I'd re-introduced fungal gnats by mistake!
