Is that not a type of sweet pea though - or just not a poisonous type?

Got loads more clearing done today. Our garden backs on to a river and we had fenced off the edge of the bank so the dogs wouldn't jump in. That was 5 years ago and it's pretty much been left to it's own devices ever since. It's gradually became an overgrown mess and this year's resolution is to get it back under control and plant it up a bit. Today was nettle root day - think it's going to be a long ongoing project, but I'm determined to win.

I was meant to be going to a meeting for work but sadly it's been snowed off :hapydancsmil:so I'm sorting all the free seeds I got from magazines last year to work out what i actually want to grow and when, and stocking up the house with fire wood to keep the my nesh dogs warm!

Nothing done in the actual garden today as the rain arrived and stopped play. Unfortunately for my bank balance I appear to have found a great website which is currently organising delivery of:
                1Standard Nectarine Flavortop - 1 tree
                1White Strawberry - 2 plants
                1Gooseberry Hinnonmaki Red - 1 shrub
                1Gooseberry Hinnonmaki Green - 1 shrub
1Prunus avium Sylvia Cherry Tree - 1 tree
                1Strawberry fragaria Ostara x 3 + cauldron - 1 set
                1Standard Plum Opal - 1 tree
1Anemone coronaria De Caen - 60 flower bulbs
1Luck Clover Oxalis Iron Cross - 20 flower bulbs

Oops! Good job they were sold out of the raspberry canes I want. Will have to try the local garden centre for those, and for some large containers and lots more compost and bone meal.....
I'm so glad growing your own fruit and veg saves you money (eek - I haven't even started on buying my seed potatoes, onion sets, tomato seeds etc etc :heehee:)

Trimmed up some lavender, spread the sulphate of potash around fruit trees, pottered, pondered and perused.

                      Today I've been building this

A summer house, with bi fold doors and tinted windows. It needs a bit of woodwork still to do on the outside, and staining, plus the inside insulated and boarded out, hopefully by the end of the month it'll be completed.

All I did today was a bit of tidying up after the storm. Thankfully there wasn't much damage apart from the bird table which I'll try to repair. Then I put a few brackets up in readiness for some new hanging baskets. I just have to decide what to plant in them now.

Just put up another couple of hanging basket brackets. Checked my chitting seed spuds....looking good. I put them in the kitchen instead of the shed. Checked my tulip bulbs and they're starting to appear. :dancy:

I agree, but I'm not sloshing through the mud, right down to the bottom of my garden, in this weather :heehee:
