A lot of supervising and teaching done today
Play house taken down (she won't go in it)
Play area created with two pots of soil, a potting bench a box ready for sand and a kids table and chairs. Bark and play sand and toys ordered to finish it off.
Pots moved onto border from patio weeding top dressing and planting as they went. Two apple trees moved.

Got most of the pheromone traps up in the orchard and did hours of pricking-out seedlings. The new propagator is working well!

Spent most of the day preparing one of the vegetable plots. Half-mooned the edges, spread compost then dug the whole plot over. Hard work, but the end result was quite satisfying. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

                  014.JPG

Finished it off by sowing a few radishes to get things started, then sat down and had a cuppa.

Yesterday I dug out a dead, giant, purple sage. Actually I dug most of it out. I couldn't get the deepest root out so took the loppers to it.

Then it was four hours of weeding and digging.

This morning I edged three lawns and did another two hours of weeding and digging. After lunch I pressure hosed Rosemary, a stone bench and started on the patio. Then I staggered indoors, needed help getting my wellies off, and collapsed in the armchair. I've just managed to get out of the chair and shall do some supper for myself.

Yesterday, Did lots of weeding, removed atimisia that started to choke my plants growing near by- decided its better in pots. Moved some plants to make room fr new shrubs x4 we bought. Sowed 100x summer flowering bulbs. Split anthurium which was overgrown in pot. Now i hv three of them.. If they survive they will need a new home.
And i havent started my sowings yet! Is it time to sow annual and other flowering seeds, tomato etc ? Or shud we wait till end of march/april?

Just looked it up, think I need an app to do it. Will get son in law to help me later in week. What a nuisance, thought I'd be able to use ipad directly.
