Trying to keep up with the potting on and seed sowing, seem to be losing the battle at the moment. :phew:

Weeded the gravel drive. You'd think the weeds would all be shallow-rooted... oh no

Lots of little jobs, tidied the clematis, cut out a rampant fuchsia that will not die, ditto honeysuckle, sharpened the mower, which involved electric drill, as battery one not charged enough and cannot find the right charger, also a few time consuming inside jobs.

Clematis was on our list as well. I'd happily start again with it...

Planted a Weigela and a Rose in pots and positioned them along the sunny back fence then a Lamium and a Geranium in a more shady part of the garden. Found a Linaria seedling I want to keep which was growing in a pot with a Clematis so I stuck the seedling in a pot to grow on a bit until I decide where to plant it. Fiffed and faffed about with the blowaway checking the temp inside....it's getting pretty hot in there. Did a bit of weeding and watered some pots. Just remembered that I still haven't sown my cucamelon seeds......must do that later.

Moved my dahlias growing from tubers into bigger pots, as the trays weren't quite cutting the mustard, then sowed 10 x 12 cell trays of French marigolds (I am reckoning that its warm enough for them to germinate in the greenhouse by now?), 1 x full size tray of African marigolds (greenhouse again), 2 x 12 cell trays of Marmande tomatoes (because I realised that I had forgotten to sow any!), re-potted 5 wee petunias that were looking pretty munched upon, then found the muncher (snail) so did a little bit of aviation instruction, and then gave everything a good watering.

I also arrived at the conclusion that I am short of shelving space - goodness knows how, but all the shelves in both the greenhouse and the house are pretty much full, and I have tons of plants spread all over the place (floors, windowsills etc).

Please note I said lack of shelving and not too many plants............

Planted out 2 raspberry canes, 2 rows of shallots, 2 rows of charlotte early spuds, and 2 rows of maris pipers. Tomorrow I have about 4 rows of King Edwards to plant. I think I bought too many spuds (sorry @Kristen, I got carried away). Will share harvest with family and friends. Sowed some more Malva, Echinacea, Lupin and sunflower seeds. Weeded lots as well. Had a glass of wine as the sun went down.

Mrs C has being doing all the work in the greenhouse today - potted on some peppers and petunias, but then ran out of space to put anything. I popped into Homebase on the way home and got a 5 shelf flat pack which is now assembled and in the greenhouse waiting to be filled.....

Hardening off three trays of double petunias and also moving the leeks outside during the day as the greenhouse is getting quite warm. Potted on about 150 Antirrhinum Monarch mixed and still have another packet to sow (my OH loves them) Planted two rows (24) Maris Peer and another 15 into potato sacks to stand on the patio. I have 5 buckets each with one Homeguard in, these are now ready to go out but don't want to tempt a frost. I could really do to visit Homebase as well but don't have any available floor space for more shelving.
Just to report, the 4 Telepathy cucumber seeds have all pushed their heads above soil today as well.

My beds in the front garden are now weed free and some chicken manure pellets tickled into the surface. I've also edged one of the beds and dead headed the daffs. I'll be out there tomorrow for more edging weather and back permitting. :)
