Gloriously sunny day here, not a single cloud in the sky. I've been a busy bee

I've even had the drill out and attached a trough planter to the wall at the front, then I planted it up. Think I've put too much water retaining gel in it though so may have to empty out and start again Moved the house number while I was at it.

My next door neighbour, who has no interest whatsoever in gardening, was sweeping her drive, so I asked her if she wanted a few plants, which I duly planted for her (her border was looking very bare apart from tons of Sycamore saplings). The soil was rock hard so took me a while to dig the soil over and I will need to make sure they get watered when I do mine. I also pulled up some saplings and then fed and watered the whole border.

I have also painted two pieces of 6ft x 4ft trellis cream to match the wall they are going against. One of those fiddly annoying jobs which takes ages. Will attach them tomorrow.

Didn't get round to sweeping the patio either.

Been on the go for ages so am going to call it a day after I've had a tidy up of the various tools I've used. I feel my bath beckoning

Mrs Mowgley hasn't had the vaccination @ARMANDII , we both didn't know there was one
A few more spots have come up but a lot of them are now starting to scab over But he's covered head to toe in them.
He's been better today though managed a game of nerf guns outside and played in his sand pit in the fresh air and sunshine.
I potted up some nicotania sylvestris and mowed the lawn

 

No where near what I had planed.

She gave me a division of Phlox from her garden too......

Planted that out, potted up some seedlings, did a bit of prep for planting out.

 

OH working so I thought I would surprise him by doing a bit more painting on the pebbledash garage.
We painted 1 side on Thursday using a Dulux masonary mix paint from B and Q and it has to be the thickest paint known to man! We have let it down to a consistancy that covers in one coat but it is still heavy going! (Too thick to spray without a compressor!)
Radio 4 on and like the Karate kid training - got on with the painting!
Managed to paint the back, then nipped out to drive our daughter to the airport ( She works in Kuwait!) and returned to paint a further 5 panels onthe last side - now run out of paint - one already on order for Monday.
Just as I was finishing up a van drew up with a parcel containing the plants I ordered last month 4 clematis (2 white biondiana and 2 Appleblossom) 20 Queen Elizabeth roses for a hedge, 2 Honeyberrys Loncira caerulea and a climbing Zephirine Rose.
So I have made them comfortable for the night and settled them in the greenhouse.
Whatever the weather tomorrow I have promised myself a planting session before painting the last panels (weather permitting ) on Monday and planting the clematis!
That is if my neck and back hold out body popping like the fat controller atm lol!

 

Got lots done...too much

 

It is hard work clearing well established weeds and briars isnt it? But really satisfying too - or is that me being odd

 

Ahh but nothing finished yet Lolimac - just staging myself with a little wine reward between!
