Checked my spring flowering bulbs in their planters which have probably grown 1mm or less since yesterday as they don't look any different!! I still like to check them though. I can't wait for the flowers to appear. :spinning:

Cleared another load of weeds - nothing stops them growing does it? Planted a camellia that I couldn't resist buying this morning - really wanted some citrus trees for patio containers but can't really afford them at the moment. They're really expensive here and there's so much other stuff I need before I can think about buying things like that. <I NEEDED the camellia, honest>

Just took advantage of a break in the weather and planted some snowdrops and eranthis I bought "in the green". They arrived this morning...can't believe the postman just shoved them through the letterbox but at least the back of the letter box stayed on this time. I think I'm going to write a letter of complaint as he's always doing it. I've spoken to him and told him to knock with parcels / anything marked fragile and explained I'm always at home looking after someone who's ill and disabled. Fed up with him. Ok moan over!! :snork:

Just pottered about marvelling at the amount of bulbs that are coming through, and how much stuff that has self seeded from last year is already starting to shoot. Not sure the little plants will survive the freezing weather we often get in February over here.

Lots of the seeds I sowed indoors 10 days ago are germinating. Will sow some more tomorrow now I've got some more compost.

slug hunting in the greenhouse , checked bottom of the large pots in the garden making sure drainage holes not blocked using a small bamboo stick to check, filled the bird feeders and gave Mr Ratty a treat in the compost bin.
Also checked the bees but a different thread.
