What jobs are we doing in the Garden today 2015

    image.jpg Just cut the grass today. Of course, it takes that much longer if you're a big softie like me, and only cut the grass - ie mow around buttercups, daisies and clover!!

    Still, I think the bees, butterflies and moths appreciated the extra effort....

      ...oh, forgot to mention the emergency lawnmower stop for a slow worm!!

      He was about 10-12" long, a little thinner than a pencil, orange chestnut on top, with black below....

          Well, he looked like that, but chestnut and black! Well, maybe a little thinner just behind the head. But definitely no worm!!

          (Off to google legless amphibians in Belgium....)

            Well, he did look like some of the stock images for anguis fragilis.... Is that not the same as in the UK?

              Got the musa sikkimensis, T. rex, paulownia, cannas, gazanias, geraniums and coleus planted in the new bed. I didn't realise I'd got so much stuff to plant :doh: I'll be planting out every night till June at this rate:phew:

                I have to say, I didn't notice the vertebral stripe, but these colour ways work for me, compared to what I saw...

                        Cleaned out my Gazebo, what a chore. pillows, couch, table, chairs, screens, floor. Tomorrow will set up the fountain. too tired from all of that.

                        Cut the grass, with the "help" of my youngest! :-)
                        Removed a huge patch of ivy, filled the brown bin with it! Haven't managed to get all the root out, might have to treat it to some weed killer tomorrow.

                        i broke my body hedge cutting and mowing so just opened the greenhouse today and did the daily check of the garden
