had a go at cleaning the pond but the first scoop of the net delivered a baby fish and tadpoles so chucked them back in and retreated to give the garlic and shalots a good soaking.Happy Days.

didn't get done has much as I wanted...

Made a start with some clearing work, but then it was F1 motor racing so had to stop to watch, managed to get some bedding plants in, but didn't manage to get my containers into their final position, nor sort out the railway line distance markers....

But work tomorrow, so hopefully shall be able to get out to the allotment on Tuesday.... Work Wednesday, so Thursday going to be a busy day, need to get down dump, get out the allotment, and do some more in the back garden.... Def not enough hours in the day

Not a lot done today, some weeding & watering and roughly laid the path in my greenhouse - but ran out of paving slabs when it came to the side for my staging! :-)
Off to Gumtree it is, then! :-)

Well, if it doesn't involve an armchair, tea, nibbles or alcohol it won't be happening today - I am in even more pain than I was yesterday, so much so I have been awake most of the night

I've not done any gardening today per se, but I did stand in the garden while I washed the windows and the car and drenched myself using the extension/hose attachment to wash the upstairs windows. I gave the front garden some water as well. Does that count?

Today I want to move the half standard Photinia into the border and take out a crab apple. Dunno what I'm going to do with it though, maybe put it in the front garden. It all depends if I feel up to digging some holes, which tbh is one of my least favourite jobs.

It is entirely self-inflicted @capney - just had another hot bath and feeling a bit easier for it too; I expect to be firing on at least three cylinders by tomorrow; I shall don my "no dancing shorts" and get back out into the garden :blue thumb:

Well I dug out the crab apple and gave it to my next door neighbour, who just happened to be in his garden. I have another one in a planter which is doing much better as it's in full sun. I then proceeded to remove the Photinia from it's huge container to plant in its place. It's only been in there a couple of years, but by gawd have the roots spread so I had to root prune quite vigorously. The Photinia is about 8 ft tall from the tip to the bottom of the root ball, so it was VERY heavy to get out, but I managed to move it with the aid of my trusty trolley. Then I had to dig out the hole quite a bit but finally managed it.

Then watered stuff, swept the patio and cleared up the mess created by having to roll the container onto its side to remove the Photinia.

I am now going to join FC in the 'broken' corner :old:
