@ARMANDII we gave ours a good prune last year and had no flowers this year. I'm hoping it recovers!
Tonight I potted on a few dahlias and fed the roses and toms in the greenhouse.

      I
It should flower reasonably well next year, Charlie. I thinned mine out quite a lot in the centre getting rid of old dead stems and branches and where I thought it needed it. There's a lot more light being letting into that area of border now.:heehee:

Today I are been gardening for 82 year old friend. A annual thing collecting plants from nursery, she comes with me. Remove weeds from 3 flower beds. Install plants lots of Geraniums mixed, slugs don't bother them too much, and a splattering of orange and yellow African marigolds. She will get great pleasure in looking after these. Next week my rather late Dahlias ( not sure of the colours yet) will be ready so I will give her 8 or so. Had a nice cup of tea and home made fruit cake.

Sorted out some flower beds. Potted up some cuttings. Got distracted looking at
some boot sale bric a brac I had in the kitchen, and ended clearing the lean to joining the
bungalow and the garage. Then transferring all the boot sale to the lean to.

I now have a tidyish kitchen, ready to take delivery of a perching stool for myself
            and the OH.

Today my get-up-and-go had got up and went...

...so all I managed to do was prune two trug-worth's of cherry laurel from the front hedge, and then cut it into 1" pieces ready for the compost. (Too lush to go through the shredder at the moment). That and a trug full of weeds pulled. Not really a day's worth of gardening.... :(

Had a quick wander, did some deadheading, pulled a few small weeds and watered everything in the greenhouse. Also picked my first little vase of sweet peas.

Major job - for me anyway...
emptied the mini GH and put the plants in a long oblong tray on the patio for now. Washed all the Perspex - inside and out and the 3 shelves of slatted wood. Mr Namaste transferred it to a kind neighbour's garage ( no car now) where it can rest until return in late Autumn. Cleaned off the patio area where it lived and put large pots of tomatoes there on 3 slatted racks. Moved other pots around on the patio as it has freed up more space for them. Dead headed all the yellow Welsh poppies ( do it most days ) so that they keep flowering.
It's the lack of rain here that's of concern. Virtually none for 3 / 4 weeks and growth has slowed quite a lot,
                    Jenny

yes, that Summer task has begun. I love it though, when you stand back and see the bush all smart again,

I should be taking it easy, as I've a lump in my right hand which is painful today, but I've two compost bins to turn, and hedges to cut....
Guess hubby will be telling me off when he gets back from work, again!!

Well, until he gets home ...

OI!!! Stop it!! :nonofinger: You should be taking it easy ... the compost bins can wait and the hedges won't keel over from waiting a bit longer until your hand is healed.

Now, go put your feet up while I send some healing vibes your way :grphg:
