What jobs are we doing in the Garden today 2015

I'll happily collect you some seeds from it if you want

 

There is only the one - it was here when I moved in, and looking very sorry for itself, and even more so when it got displaced for the new fencing to be put up; however, I hate giving up on a plant, so pampered it a bit and it recovered, and has been in bloom every year since

Remind me come seed time, as I am a forgetful old git at times

 

Today I shall be replanting the 6 Bamboo plants I divided form one large bamboo plant yesterday,one done 5 to go

 

I decide to try and dodge the raindrops and weed this border. These two shots are just half of the border.





Fighting my way into it was hard enough! I got a wheelie bin full of bindweed and rose bay willow herb - and got soaked

This morning I picked 25lb of rhubarb and am giving my back a rest now . If the rain stays off I'd like to get some mowing done as it's getting out of hand. Last week was too hot for mowing

 

Thanks @Beckie76 but it needs a good cutting back now. It'll look completely different in a couple of weeks.

 

@"M" I don't have bindweed issues - it's the boss . In the borders with shrubs I just pull it and get what I can, as I can't get to the roots. In the veg plot I also pull it but do so right from ground level. This can get up to 6" of root if done carefully and only needs a quick, weekly, patrol. I never try to dig it and never use weed killer.
