What jobs are we doing in the Garden today 2015

I'm absolutely knacked & I ache all over! I've literally not stopped all day! The top end of the front garden has been a total tip for ages, there's a pile of logs which need splitting, general cr@p & a pile of wood which need kindling...well today I needed to get my teeth into something so after going into work cleaned & stained the hen coops & runs I cleared a space at the front, moved the logs cleared up all the bark, moved the bags of coal, filled up the skip & generally cleared up, it's not how I want it but it's much better once we get the logs split we can stack them up ( might put an extra shed out there). My body aches all over...middle aged clearly a bad thing! But I delighted to have had a clear up!

 

Ive had the joy of repointing the patio flagstones today. What a boring back numbing job that was . Gave my treeferns a good feeding of seaweed tonight and then noticed ive nearly killed yet another sago palm thats had its roots rot away due to poor drainage.
potted it up in a sandy mix with some luck it will regrow again. I"ll never learn.

Don't know about tonight as i think that i got everything sorted over the weekend. Yesterday however, i installed a little growhouse in my garden and took some of my Dahlia cuttings so that i can embark on my first ever growing from "scratch" journey

Oh yea... i more or less finished the pond too... and turned it to BLACKWATER!!!!

 

That looks great! Black food colouring? I'm off to sort my neglected front garden out- it's always so much easier to forget it and concentrate on the back!

 

@Darkest minnow, yea i put 2 bottles of Morrison's own black food colouring into the water and it turned it jet black almost instantly. Turned the pond into pretty much a sheer mirror and cleaned it up massively!

 

You must be really chuffed. It looks great! It's nice that you've got an area for veg and a little greenhouse area. My garden is really small, it's so hard to fit everything in!

 

In between downpours, I did loads of dead heading and tying in. Also fed my outdoor tomatoes even though I'm not too optimistic that I'll get many ripe ones....I'll blame the weather. Did some weeding and noticed that my begonia basket is bucking up a bit. I'd pretty much given up on it so I fed it and hopefully I'll get a few more flowers.

 

It's been raining most of the day again and fed up with being inside I potted on my winter pansy seedlings. 170 tiddlers later, there's no room left in the greenhouse now.
