Just did a little bit of weeding and tidying up in the herbaceous border this afternoon before I ran out of daylight. :th scifD36:

I haven't been in the garden since last Monday, so almost two weeks. I'll get around to it when the weather is better. :noidea:

Did some severe (chain saw) pruning on our best apple tree, cutting out some main branches affected with canker. Then spent a couple of hours feeding the cuttings and logs into the incinerator.

Been taking down the 3 of the 4 overhead fans in the greenhouses plus another 9 small fans and two dc turbine fans. Sounds like a lot but they move air in specific areas and run off the solar panels. They all needed a good cleaning. Got 10 more pots to empty and scrub but running out to the shop first cause I'm out of tea and that will just not do!

Far to wet for gardening outside . Just stored my saved Begonia tubers . I really need to dig up my Cannas and Dahlias . Never left it so late , but the awfully wet November we have had has dashed most plans. I am not an all weather gardener !

                      Hi Harry,

I know how you feel, I've still got five tender Fuchsias to get in and twenty Allium to plant. And it's nearly time to take the next round of Fuchsia cuttings.
Bit disappointed though as my Salvia Neon cuttings haven't took :(

I think it's time to consider a temporary bog garden here......for all of it! I squelched to the composter today and squelched back again, but I did stop off to check whether the cuttings in the greenhouse needed watering. They didn't, but my stratifying Iris seeds sitting in pots in the carport did.

                          Hi Sheal,

I wish I had a damp patch, there are quite a few things I'd like to grow and can't.

It won't last long Anthony. If it doesn't rain tonight it will have drained tomorrow being sandy soil.

Just finished baking about 6 gallons of potting soil. The sun showed its face and temps went up to 39f so I worked outside emptying the last of the pots, and as mentioned, baked the soil in the wood oven.

tomorrow will move my baking into pots to prepare a home for my k onion sprouts...

Going to need a bigger indoor area...:heehee:
