I have a couple of them - fantastic knives. We bought ours in Jenner's in Edinburgh - they were doing a demonstration when we popped in for a nosey, and it would have been rude not to buy some.... :snork:

And I found a video that shows someone actually cutting into random things ( not me by the way)

Another half hour today, so I went out and pruned the roses. The climber at back was in dire need with crossing canes and young branches flopping around so tied those back in to the trellis and gave it some bonemeal.

I bought some of those knives a few years back and they work well for slicing bread. :blue thumb: :heehee:

I haven't done anything in the garden for nearly two months but hope to be able to start again soon. :dbgrtmb: Trouble is that I'm now not allowed to wear wellies, which doesn't help in wet weather . But it will look all 'shipshape and Bristol fashion' by Open Day  :phew:

@shiney ...Have you tried 'Hunter Clogs' they're really comfortable and might be just the job for your foot:thumbsup: They're not as heavy duty as full wellies but great for most other jobs around the garden:blue thumb:

Yesterday I built a compost heap container, rigged up a cover for the heat bench and carried on sorting through my seed box. Today I'll be clearing up the piles of trimmed grasses I made the day before, along with more brambles...... and carrying on through the seed box. If I get a chance I'll sow more seeds as the sweet peas are moving out to the cold frame and several other germinated seeds may get moved along.
It will be put out the flags day when I get to the other side of the seed box :partytime:, but it may take some time!
PS I'm loving hearing what everyone is up to

You can sow them now, they are perfectly hardy and germination can take up to 21 days.

Ive read in the past that you can sow outdoors or in a cold frame in September for good results and indeed, mine self sow in one bed each year - those are well up now and putting up with snow and frost quite happily. So I sowed some saved seed and put them in my propagator (would have sown direct last September but no place ready) but now they are up they need somewhere cooler.
Go on, you know you want to, it's nearly march ;)

Oooo so tempted but have no more propergators to put them in unless others are ready to go out

With bottom heat mine had roots sprouting in four days and tops showing above the soil in about ten. I soaked them three hours before sowing. :dbgrtmb:

I don't think they need heat - I was playing with my new toy ;)
Theyll just take a little longer to germinate
