      Rain rain go away.....

Today's job is finishing building the coop, digging up brambles and erecting a fence.

Haven't done any of these things before, I'm sure it'll end well..

I know I shouldn't have, I know you all warned me not to, but I hard pruned all of my hardy fuchsias yesterday. I've been dying to do it and the weather's been picking up, so I got impatient. On my own head be it of course :D

Well. For some uncanny reason I found this hoe in my hands and before you could say "
quid sum faciens et de hoc instrumentum manu mea?" I was hoeing the garden. When that was completed something convinced me that I should re install the solar powered bubbly thing back in the pond after the winter....

Please don't tell anyone but yesterday morning I was gardening, I mean working from home!!!!!
I got on really really well :hapydancsmil:I weeded two boarders, planted up some sweetpeas which I'd bought from the farm shop :yay:, cut back more dead stuff, planted 10 tulip bulbs, cleared out my shed ( I need some new shelves for in there as something has spilt on the top shelf & literally eaten right through the metal :dunno:, I only keep miracle grow, lime, blood fish & bone, bulb fertiliser & that sort of stuff on there so I guess one of those must have done it??). We had a pile of rubbish in the front garden behind the fence & an old BBQ out the back so the kind man in the village who does odd jobs took those to the tip for me  I'm deed chuffed about that, it had been driving me nuts for weeks!
Then I went to the nursery up the road :hapfeet:oooooooh it was smashing, I had such a nice time I chatted to the owners & had a lovely walk round, to hear the pebbles on the pathways moving as I walked was wonderful & the sun was temporarily shining it was wonderful! :hapydancsmil:Now for the important bit......I bought a white rose (I'm still going to get a purple one but decided I couldn't leave the White one behind & as I have room for two why not!!! :)) a lily, a pot of very pretty iris, a red hellebore (I'd not seen a red one before!) yellow budliar, red echinacea, so all in all a good shop!!!
My sunflowers in the kitchen are just coming through & the sunflowers on the bathroom window ledge are also popping their heads up :hapfeet:I just need spring now :spinning: I can't wait any longer it's driving me crazy!! :rolleyespink:

Sun is shining so managed to get an hour or so in the garden. More tidying up and brushing up around and between my containers. There are over 100 now so it's a bit of a palava. Some are big ones and heavy to lift so I will have to ask OH to help at the weekend. Decided to feed all of my spring bulbs. Opened up the blow away for an airing - it was 33C in there. :yikes: Nothing growing in it yet.....it all starts for me next month. :hapydancsmil: Bring it on! Had to come back inside as I'm waiting for a delivery now.

I've managed to overcome distressing things like that :blue thumb:. My initial, and automatic, reaction is "Abi!" Actually, it's slightly different from that but not for public consumption :heehee:

Well today I managed some trimming this morning - but that was on my poodle Parsley (cos he's curly).....
However this afternoon it was perfect in the greenhouse at 23C and I pricked out/potted lots of the seedlings started earlier in the month. Early purple sprouting, cabbage, lovage (yummy, looking forward to that) and perennial stock Pillow Talk.
Lifts the spirits dibbling in earth and anticipating all the lovely things to come :dbgrtmb:
