Greenhouse gutted out yesterday, pressure washed inside and out using an industrial degreaser and detergent on the glass, and bleach for the ground. Also gave the grass it's first light cut (will work down to normal height over the next couple of weeks).

Friday, I sowed all my tomatoes (nowhere near as many as I normally do), chillies, and sweet pepper (first batch failed completely)

Today, I am rigging up the temporary power for the greenhouse (radio and heat) and will get cracking sowing some more seeds

Oh yes, internet too but it's wireless - and no, I ain't kidding [emoji3]

In fact, with my favourite toy (My Cloud) I can stream movies and watch them whilst sowing

Well, I've sheared the pittosporum of all its wind damage (looking very sorry for itself now though) and it's fingers crossed it returns to its full glory.
I've filled the veg trug with compost and I've put a mulch sheet over the compost, pinned down with stones, just to get that soil warmed up a little bit before I plant some beans and peas in it.
May do some weeding between intermittent sunshine and cooking the dinner, but we'll have to see :heehee:

Sounds like you are dreading it....can't you combine it with something relaxing e.g. a radio station?

Just some small, basic stuff, e.g. potting up a bought fuschia (the small ones I buy each year never seem to make it into the next year, despite carefully bubblewrapping against frost and placing in a secluded corner of the garden). Placed some horse manure around hebes and rose bush. Oh....and threw some more marbles/beads across my shed roof to deter the vandalising trespasser using that route. [IMG]

Large in girth or height? If height, can you give it a spring haircut to make transplanting it more manageable. Or, do you have a large plastic dustbin you could put it in?

Although a plastic dustbin may sound unattractive, these days you can buy attractively patterned stick on vinyl designed for wheelie bins (obviously lopping off the lid) e.g. looking like a hedge.

Just a question ... I take it watercress does *need* a bit of soil and not purely just water? :noidea:
This is my experiment and I need to move them on now (hence the question)
