Super sunny today. I've cut back the neighbours' trees and hedges for them (over hanging, very minor) ;) and pootled around. I'm constantly going around checking on each plant as I find it interesting. But the neighbours must think I'm crazy! :)

I've given a few things the first preventative fungicide spray as we get lots of issues with rust and powdery mildew.

Otherwise, now having lunch and enjoying it. Much to my relief, today has confirmed that the garden does get enough hours for Dahlias from April onwards. Phew, I was getting worried.

Planted out the sweet peas and a few other plants and done some weeding. Going to swap over to the new cold frame and fill it up with all the lavender plug plants to start hardening them off ready to plant out.

I've been really busy the last 2 days, ripped out all my conifers on one side of the garden so I can create a fresh new border. Was really hard work but worth it in the end. next job will be to put up my fence panels. Now I have lots of tip runs to make to clear all the cutting 's  I have attached before and after pictures below

After being shrounded in fog for most of the day, this afternoon we got a bit of the sun everyone was expecting. Bought a few things at the nursery and potted them up.
Trimmed back all of my perennial herbs. Emptied out the good stuff from the kitchen waste composter, looks good if a bit eggshelly which I hope will be good for my clay, and spread it on the veg raised beds. Turned the big compost pen. Re-staked the blackberries which have got huge. Fed some of the shrubs.
Got a real case of achey-breaky back at the mo, so sipping a glass of chardonnay while OH cooks an aubergine curry.

Well, I've not been able to do any more work on the garden project, as have to wait for the skip to come before doing any more..

But contended myself with moving my containers back to the house out of the way of works, then potted up some more seeds, to go into the propagator... Water and checked my plants in the greenhouse, at last 4 of the 60 sweet pea seeds I sowed several weeks ago have started to peek through....

Now just sorting out cost/phone number of skip hire so hubby's can phone tomorrow while I'm at work, oh have to remember to remind to water my plants in the morning, the compost is now trying so quick needs watering t

Titivating Toms, Peppers, Chillies, and theres more, all looking well. Had shower Now in Cons on Laptop with mug of tea. Football soon nice being retired.

Sowed a few more seeds - calibrachoa and diascia, and then hauled out the last of the garden goodies from last years efforts:

All now in the freezer, barring one pot which is in the fridge for tomorrow
