Not doing much outside as it snowed again, this time about 3 inches overnight and still coming down . Did clean the garden room, mopped etc, dusted etc, trimmed up the indoor plants some.
Here is the view from my kitchen window.

Working today but at the weekend, I was having fun with my angle grinder. I have been cutting out a quarter circle from the patio which overlaps and leads to where my lawn will be. Planning to repeat the quarter circle 3 times at 1.5m intervals. Excuse the mess, its a bit scruffy at the moment, but getting there. I have top soil coming this friday so I shall be shifting a tonne of that from front to back which will be fun. Wifes not happy, taking too long.

For some reason when I look at your picture NCFCcrazy I think of a sundial in the center of it all.

Originally, I had planned to turn the whole lawn into a sundial with a nice tall Italian Cyrpus as the "dial". I had tried marking it out but struggled so resorted to plan B.

Plan is to get a small piece of artificial grass to cover it up, waiting for the turf to arrive first though to that I can get something the right sort of shade. Hopefully, it will onlt be noticable if you know its there.

              hummmm....
the colour of your grass will alter through the seasons and before and after cutting. It's a big "ask" of an artificial grass to change its colour accordingly,
              Jenny
may I suggest a nice half barrel full of seasonal colour?

I have been looking at artificial grass online this afternoon... ouch! May have to go with some pots or just live with it, dont fancy paying £30 to £60 just to hide it! There is one in the border which I have covered with pots, but you cant see that in the picture.

Despite it not being warm enough to even start to melt the snow, in the greenhouse I have had to shade some Chrysanthemum cuttings to prevent them from wilting.

Hi Zigs, sorry to ask such a basic question!!! have you taken the cuttings & put them in water or rooting powder? I'd like to take some cuttings from my gooseberry.

Trying to think of possible alternatives to Briza Media (to avoid rust problems).

Trawling more seed catalogues. Resisting buying too many things.
