    Love your bug house!
I have a couple of smaller ones which already have 'solitary' bees working like mad laying eggs and filling in. They're creating quite a buzz ;) :dbgrtmb:
Hope you get lots of takers :)

My second cousin came round to check out the wobbly slabs in the patio and path. He is not happy at all as he would of laid them on a wet based but the manufacturers said they would only cover breakages of they were laid on screed so he did it the way they recommended. Hes not that sure what to do for the best but luckily still have the spares so will be back this afternoon with spares and enough sand and cement to try and sort it.

In the mean time im out and about with the kettle and i created a little propagator with the tubs that the baby kale comes in in my food order

There are two tubs on the bottom one with holes in and i have sowed mimulus seeds in it

I live in upstate New York, the olives would never tolerate our climate. We have four feet of snow on the ground with temperatures well below -20 at times. We still have no leaves on the trees here.

I've been in the front garden pulling up another zillion and one sycamore seedlings :wallbanging:

I've also spread some 'Easy Flowers' around a bit and watered everything. I appear to have some Aquilegia coming through (I think) which Shiney sent me a couple of years ago and which didn't do anything last year. I've chucked so many seeds out there last year that I don't know what's what, so it may get a bit crowded so I'm going to have to just let stuff grow and then pull up anything I don't like. Will go out and mow the front lawn later.

Did some pricking out and potting on early this morning. Got it all done by 7.30ish as I like to get the fiffing and faffing about with small seedlings out of the way. Went out into the garden and planted up a Solanum Glasnevin and was halfway through planting up some Lathyrus Latifolius when my back gave up so I thought it best to stop and not push it. There's always tomorrow. :spinning:

Dug up an overgrown Hebe by the pond and got rid of it,fed the Rhodys with seqestrene, thrown Water Hyacinths back in the pond as the chooks keep bringing them into the kitchen:rolleyespink:

Put plants back in the GH ,don't know about hardening them off the wind chill is enough to kill 'em off:rolleyespink:

So far I've planted out my asparagus peas under my cloche on the veg bed, a large trugful of weeds removed, a straying cotoneaster restrained/redirected, some summer bulbs planted, indoor herbs given a second chance of life in the herb garden, and a newly planted rose moved - I'd planted it too near to a spreading Japanese maple!

Just having a cuppa and the last of the Christmas cake, before going back out again, for some more weeding, mulching, planting....

Just been down to the allotment to 'do' a job that has been hanging around for years. As the allotment is on a small slope (careful Jeremy), I have sunk paving slabs halfway into the earth and backed up the soil to give me a level 'playing field'. But over time two of the slabs at 90% to each other have begun to splay outwards. Dug down in the inner face, re-located the slabs upright and hammered in a substantial bit of angle iron to keep them there.:ccheers:

                        Cheers, Tony.

we certainly do Spruce. The wind has snapped a few of my rose stems as they are limp through lack of rainwater,
