      Not a lot done outside today. I spent an hour or so potting on plants in the greenhouse.

          That makes sense. I've been feeding a few things a little bit but it seems that was unnecessary really.

          Hopefully it will also mean some bumper swarms of ladybirds later in the summer... I haven't seen any yet here though sadly.

                      Going to have a good sweep and tidy ,my Magnolia has been beautiful but she's a messy divil when she loses her flowers,then potting on and pricking out and playing the 'where am I going to put all these plants' game:rolleyespink:

                        Ah, yes, your yesterday afternoon sky has just arrived as my morning sky ... and it does look a bit like rain may be on the way after all :whistle: :heehee:

                        I saw my first one the other day ... (7th April 2015)

                        Yesterday, I went to the library and picked up some gardening books for inspiration ... so, spent a lovely couple of hours on the patio with the books, cuppa and Ozzy at my feet :dbgrtmb:

                            If you're doing hanging baskets this way then remember to place a short cane in each basket. It needs to be, roughly, the length of the hanging chains. Then you put the hook for the chains into the top of the cane and it saves you having to search for the chains, and damaging your plants, when you want to hang them. :dbgrtmb:

                            This photo was taken last year before Open Day. We don't hang the baskets until the day before as it's so much easier to water them this way. :)
