I've only dug and weeded half a wheelie bin full today - mainly forget-me-nots, buttercups, bindweed, strawberry weed and violets.

Also done some charity work, made a chicken soup and in the middle of making a bolognese (onions and garlic frying). Going out tonight. :blue thumb:

I've reported a bleeding heart I thought I'd lost. So I'm well pleased.
Checked over the greenhouse to see if I can see any slimy nasties. We had loads of rain yesterday so had to harvest water from the two are butts

Having a bit of a tidy up to make room for more firewood storage. As my daughter's now 21 I decided it's time for her collection of seashells to go. We collected them on every seaside holiday/day trip since she could walk so had to think of something better than the bin. Next time I go sea fishing I'll take them with me and tip them back on a beach for some other kids to find.

There's also a 2 gallon bucket full of them

Well, I reckon she should keep some to remind of the fun and happiness of the holidays with you"!:dunno::snorky:

Bagged up the glass, started digging out the roots and prepping for groundworks.

Good progress there Zigs. Do my eyes deceive me, or is that an old litter bin being used as a water butt by the building?

Spent a good 3 hours digging a pond - still not finished - another couple more hours and the liners ready to go in.

Mattocked the front garden - a strip anyway - getting ready to dump a load of top soil on it and throw a bag of grass seed over the lot.

I think I may have 'overdone' it today :oopss: - probably pay for it big time on my way down to the Bistro tomorrow

Ta Trunk, felt it at work today, i'm 54 :old: :snorky:

No, don't know where it came from, but it's some sort of bowser, the old lid for it is on the rubbish pile on the left, did have a neck on it that you could clip the lid to, but I think pigeons pecked it off.

Did digging and weeding. Then mowed all front lawns and the main back lawn and then edged the front lawns. :blue thumb:

Some seed collecting today plus thinned out some wallflowers (planted from seed earlier this year). The thinned ones are in a jug of water at the moment ready for planting in the front garden.
The seeds I collected are from Sweet Williams and Cornflowers, so I've just added them to a bag of bulbs so they can fall as I potter around and do their own thing (or not). I rather like scattering and seeing what pops up; bit like a lucky dip :heehee:

Followed on from yesterday with moving things around (just for a change) Ho hum! Mostly large pots and trying to maximise light in this late part of the year. At last, I have a full year of colour with seasonal plants and am rotating to fill in empty spaces. Weeds removed including vast amounts of bindweed. A lovely day and even got SWMBO involved which was really nice.
