Good effort mr Owl. I too, didn't feel the cold. Moving more clay soil and levelling, weeding and pulling old strawberries. They were in the wrong place and were getting attacked regularly. There are a lot that are just growing back but they are 2 years old and weren't productive enough. Hope they will survive as going into pots and baskets. Created a new raised bed in their place for flowers. This managed to allow me to level off much better than last year ready for grass.
When is the earliest I can put grass seed down? So eager to get an early start.

I had to use a very special computer aided image capture system, as the human eye and hand alone would not have been quick enough to capture the image. ;)

Grass seed won't germinate below 12C @Rustler so it's best left until at least late March. :)

@wiseowl - blimey, you created that space quick. Can't believe I'm getting excited *for* you and your new shed! :snorky:

I've stumbled across some sunflower seeds, which reminded me I had some other sunflower seeds and now I've finished rooting around I have 7 varieties of sunflowers  :dunno: :heehee: Looks like I'll be having sunflowers growing out of my ears by the time this growing season is over

Waiting for the day to warm up a little first and then I need to relocate my Tayberry/Loganberry/Gooseberry "pots". If that all goes well (and Mr "M" hasn't strolled off with the huff :heehee: ) there are a couple of clematis in tubs which need to go into ground before too long but would definitely benefit from being moved to a new location (just in case I change my mind about that being their final position :heehee: ).

In a nutshell: lots of heave-ho'ing today

Continuing the great weeding down the allotment. Although it is freeeeezing!

Putting off deciding whether our large planter with the climbing rose can also take the new clematis sitting next to it...

The "berry" pots have now all been moved to the rear fence (still in pots though and that's fine). I've put twine at horizontal levels to keep them neat with the fence.
The clematis will have to be another day.
The lawn has had its first cut of the year and the hens have been given the clippings to play with.
Re-sited the whirligig clothes dryer; need to get some cement to give it a permanent fix.
The decorative cock lost one of his wings last year. It's beyond repair, but, I've moved the cock to another position so his wing wouldn't *need* to be seen anyway. Not ideal, but a fair compromise under the circumstances.
Noted that the Triffid is showing signs of growth for this year too (mixed blessing :heehee: ).
The sun has finally decided to shine, but I've come back in because I'm bone cold today.
