What jobs are we doing in the garden today 2016

Roughly about 2 weeks @Anthony Rogers , still very small though but alive

 

I'll just have to keep me fingers crossed

 

I've potted on a tray of Antirrhinum seedlings this afternoon, what fiddly little things they are, it's like working with Mustard Cress. Only four Echinacea seeds germinated out of ten, I've potted those on too. Also one of the pots of Iris seedlings, now in individual pots.

I bought a number of packets of Unwins seeds last year and was disappointed at the failure rate. Thinking it was a one off I bought more this year. So far most have failed which I'm not happy about and I definitely won't be buying any more. I've never experienced this with Suttons seeds, so I will continue to buy from them in future.

 

I like Suttons and Johnsons Sheal. Never really had any failures with those.

 

I've not bought Johnson's seeds for yonks and I don't know why. Thanks, I'll keep them in mind.

Well I've moved into my new house with a much bigger garden than I had previously. There's still plenty of jobs to do in the house so I don't think I'll be able to do much gardening this year as we have to get the house sorted first. The only thing I've done is position my hand made bird table where I want it and put some food on it. There are loads of birds in this garden compared to my last one. The dawn chorus here is amazing.
