Cut and edged the lawn at the weekend whilst my boys were climbing trees.
The sweet peas I planted in late Jan are coming through, so I watered them and planted the following tonight:-
    Early peas
    Calendula
    Sunflower Magic Roundabout
    Agastache Golden Jubilee

Fingers crossed for as good results as the sweet peas. :)

:yikes: Expressions of horror!! Spending money when nature can help free of charge :nonofinger:

Snail shells (with a spot of glue if having rook trouble) are perfect for the job and you will be commended for doing your bit for recycling.

I've just chainsawed a 40 metre length of bushes outside my property down to the ground. Now its time to see if I can find a replacement engine for my old shredder.

As it happens, they weren't...they belong to the local council...or should I say belonged? I had been given permission to cut them down from the highest level in the land..Mrs SG!:snorky:

Being serious, I am allowed to cut them in any way I see fit.

Nowt out ... not in the garden anyway ... but, I decoupaged a couple of terracotta pots (first attempt). Well, plants will go *in* them, at some point, so it's still gardening of a kind not just playing

What beautiful weather we've got in NI today!
I was up at sister-in-laws yard first thing to get some horse muck, dug it into my first raised bed and planted some bulbs - Liatris, Gladioli and Anemone. This is my first time planting anything other than little pots, so I'm sort of winging it!
Got the first mow of the year done and it looks miles better already. Though I forgot to change the blade height till I'd done the first strip and took it rather short, oops. Couldn't resist clearing up one of our patio beds a little and forking the soil, even though we're not planting it till the patio flags are down...
                        Productive day!

It's a little stone sleeping dragon! A friend moved house and tripped over it so after a bit of a hissy fit decided it had to go. Lucky me

Dug out a dead Callistemon Citrinus Splendens and replaced it with an old, small, slow growing Albizia.

Planted the potted strawberry runners from last year, had good root systems so in the went, too early?
