    This is what I have been building this weekend, a Den for the kids.

    It's a bit imposing at the moment but should look good once the plants are back in growth. Just a few finishing touches needed, and of course some new plants.

    Grrr, having issues adding a photo

      Dug half the plot over, started fixing debris netting to the fence to cut the wind from the sea.

      Built a compost container out of old planks and started coppicing the Willow. Dark now so making me pack up for the morning :)

        Nope much in my garden apart from trimming the privet hedges and raking the moss out of the lawn.
        Then over to my grandmother in laws to tend to her garden. A 15 foot buddleia trimmed to around 3 foot, lawns 1st cut, privet trimmed and tidied. Massive silver birch tree chopped. 3 leylandi tidied and trimmed. Just the greenhouses to wash down and empty, mulch and weed the bottom garden then she'll be good to go.
        Back to work tomorrow for a rest :loll:

            Got one of the veg plots dug over this afternoon. My back is protesting now. Still, never mind, if the weather warms up a bit I'll be getting some veg seeds sown next weekend.

            While I was doing this, Mrs Trunky was doing a little clearing up and ivy removal from some of the beds elsewhere in the garden, it sounded like there was an old hen scratching about in the beds. :heehee: :chicken:

              I spent the afternoon sowing seeds and potting on seedlings, a second sowing of some due to seed failure. They are all under way now apart from Ornamental Millet which I will start off around the middle of April.

              I really need the overnight temperatures to pick up so I can get seedlings into the greenhouse. Now, as I'm potting on I've almost run out of space indoors. :doh:

                Can you eat ornamental millet? or do you just have to look at it? :)

                    I'd eat that, no poisonous graminacea as far as I know :)

                    @Jiffy would know :)

                      I've just had a quick look and I can't see anything that says it's poisonous. It's merely a different shaped seed head and foliage but the rest seems to be okay. It does say that the seeds if sown will not come true.:coffee:

                        Thanks Armandii, I won't be saving any seed for next time then.

                            But it may be poisonous - I vote Zigs should try it and report back - or not :biggrin:
