I've sown my broad beans with the help from three chickens! My 7 year old also helped me sink in a few stepping stones in the lawn, which are definitely needed after this winter. It was great to be in the garden all day! Spring has sprung.:hapydancsmil:

Sitting on the patio, with a book, watching the washing dry and drinking a cheeky Shiraz:snorky:

But I *did* tell you and I told you all about having to drive home with it between my knees and the odd looks I got from passing vehicles. I posted piccies at the time too [IMG]

Here it is, in full exposure, behind Oz and under the apple tree (just to get a sense of scale) and taken back in 2013 ... isn't he gorgeous!!! :chicken:

He's taken a bit of a beating since then and he doesn't quite have the same space as before but he now has his home. I'll take another piccie when it's not pouring with rain :snorky:

I really miss that apple tree :cry3:

Dug over more of the waterlogged lawn and added the clippings from the dogs haircut this morning, lots of newspaper and some straw. Killed nine leeches and earned eight blisters for my troubles. Now I'm waiting for husband to appear with compost to chuck on top of the whole sorry mess. :)

It is still below freezing here so I just stayed inside and assembled the "trug" planter stands that I got at a good price awhile ago.

6 more days before the professional weather guessers have forecast spring like conditions.:)

At least you managed to kill one of the leaches without getting another blister, must be the practice

Been very rainy so quite squelchy underfoot, during rain let ups have been out placing pots of perennials I've overwintered in pots into likely places where they'll go in the borders. If patient enough I usually do this and leave them in situ for a few days to make sure I've got it right and then dig them in.

Also bought a bunch of plants today that I've now to find spaces for them to fit in.

Also going out via my favourite nursery tomorrow and there are one or two things I've had my eye on for a while that I may well pick up en-route.

Have been in a bit of a blue mood which always leads to extravagant and usually non essential plant buying :thud::whistle::heehee:

Sowed some Watercress seed, bought some red onion seedlings as none of the ones I've sown have germinated, bet they all will now :biggrin:
