@Sheal I did listen, honest! :) That is me taking it easy ;) :heehee: I'm feeling OK this morning so shall take it easy - doing some more trimming of edges and, maybe, some mowing. I haven't been able to do the cutting and shaping of edges this year so they won't look quite as I want them to.

Getting the gang to help will be too late - unless they want to pop down for a gardening party . If I get similar requests to last year from Mrs Shiney, this year on Open Day I might need some help. Some of the plants that were really popular ran out and I was asked to dig up lots more, whilst they waited! :phew:

Dug up some lucifer crocosmias and a small purple iris for a friend. She gave me the iris from her mum's garden about 30 years ago- since then her mum has passed on, her house sold, and she had lost the iris so very happy to give her some back. We don't know the variety but it is very hard to dig up once established

Bearing in mind my last garden was entirely paved and I only grew in containers, I've got enough pots of all shapes and sizes to last me a life time! :snorky:

Although there has been no snow, sleet or hail today, it has still been foul from mid-morning on, so I've done the indoor tasks - potting on chillies, cosmos, aubergines, and tomatoes.

The dogs have been mainly snoring on the sofas!:doggieshmooze:

Sunday, just weeding. With the absence of some trees it seems that more weeds are happy.

Winter bedding has just about had it & the herb beds need weeding but those are jobs for another day. I also refreshed the strawberries on the wall out the back with new plants - dont get a huge harvest but enough for me:

hopefully its going to warm up towards the end of the week & I can get on with moving things outside.... or maybe I can just go to the pub.

Not much today, shame I have to go to work . I did manage to connect up the irrigation system for me new raised bed. I have a a tonne of top soil/compost mix being delivered on Friday ready to fill it. Then, I can finally get it planted up. Then onto the next project

The weather kindly gave me a break today so I could get the lawns mowed. They were a little soft under foot though.
