I am the teacher...they are Spanish ones but our school is city centre with no woodland for miles so no worries.
The kids grafted to get them planted, should look good next year. We planted some last year which are brightening it up a bit at the moment. Want to add snowdrops in autumn.

Planted out a few yellow pear tomatoes and fasold French beans in the greenhouse after weeding and manuring the border. Investigated the courgette and cucumber seeds I planted last week, think they have rotted in the cold weather. Finally threw the last of the flowering kale to the neighbour's sheep.

Something has already put holes all over my carrot fly netting barrier - I guess rendering it completely useless :(

Nice work with the pea sticks there @Zigs. :dbgrtmb:

Been pruning some huge Berberis 'Amstelveen' shrubs at work today. Those of you familiar with this plant can probably imagine what fun that was!

I now have so many scratches on my arms, it looks as if I've spent the day self-harming. :ouch1:

I planted a nice big Agapanthus into the central border along with Peony "Shirley Temple". There was a big pot of Dahlias which I emptied in one piece and I planted them into the "walk around" border and after putting fresh compost into the now empty pot I put in Iris "Red Flare". I haven't used the 4 wall pots for a year or two but, for some reason, I decided to get some plants and potted them up even though there is going to be a lot of pots to water this year. After that I went into the Green House and started potting up Asters, Sweet William, Cosmos, Wall Flowers, Lark Spur, Malva, Zinnia, and Verbena for the local Gardening Club annual sales. I got past the 300 mark and gave up as an image of a mug of Tea kept invading my mind!!:snorky:

You've done a lot of work there, Ziggy.:love30: It looks like you're going to have great bonfire as well with all that wood etc. Is your blue leaded window for sale? If so let me know what you want for it, as it would be nice to have a piece of your work.:snorky:

No it's weird, they're all random. It looks like something has been pushed into it to form a hole and stretch the fabric. I can only guess it was a fox climbing up it as there are a couple in the allotment.
