I'm so far behind with everything this year, juggling eggs between travelling up to Chester and work. Have only been keeping the weeds at bay and mowing the lawn:sad:

First day now that I have been able to get into the garden and its pouring down:sad:

Back to work tomorrow for 2 days so shall be planning on what I need to do to catch up :)

Looks like everyone has been really busy and some lovely shows of flowers :) which is now just egging me on to get something done:heehee:

Tipping it down here (NW London) but we are assured it'll brighten up later. I shall be planting tomatoes.

Nothing! It's been raining since I got back from walking Oz and it was a novelty to have a *hot* cuppa :coffee:
However, I did notice that the first bloom on my clematis "Arabella" has finally opened into all her glory  (that was one of the clematis I finally put into a bed this year having had to survive in a pot for the previous 3 years).

Nothing much done today because of the rain but over the last week I've decided to plant the trachycarpus princeps hybrid and a chamaerops humilis into a new border etched out from the ever increasingly smaller lawn :heehee:.
Everything seems to be behind this year I've got hostas just coming up, fuchsias just coming back into leaf :dunno:. The cannas in the GH not showing much growth either.

The daughter in law smacked the mother, son was trying to calm things down kids was crying then police turned up,

After tea things had calmed down and the sun was out of i went to empty the GH, well the heavens opened again wet through for the second time today, ive left everything on the lawn planted more Tom Thumb/Jewal of Africa/empress of India on my way indoors and called it a day :).

An eventful day for you Martin. :)

I moved all of my plants out of the greenhouse today for hardening off. They're in at the deep end as there's no gentle touch of in an out from day to day. They are out and they take their chances with the weather and temperature which only managed 12C today.

Yep pretty chilly here too @Sheal! I've got home from work, eaten dinner and am now off to bed. Feeling a bit down because I really wanted to get some seeds sown, but it's just too cold to be out there this week and I'm so tired at the moment. :frown:
Husband is being supportive by fitting a tow bar to his car. :noidea::wallbanging: When we have wardrobes to build and our nursery is still currently an office!

The seeds can wait @CharlieBot , there's always tomorrow and you come first at the moment. :) As for hubby, I guarantee the nursery will get done - but when he's ready. When I was expecting my first child I decorated the nursery myself......in fact I did all three! My husband, by his own admission is hopeless at anything that doesn't involve a pen.

Planted more brassicas out under the debris netting, and weeded the raspberries, in between downpours. Got most of the tomatoes into their final places- Alicante, yellow pear, Gd, green zebra, and some golden sunrise, also some cucumbers. Bit worried about my squash sowing of last week, no sign of life yet and am thinking they rotted, didn't think much of the mpc they went into. Think I'd better get some seed compost and resow:sad::sad:
Put some dahlias and verbena out into the border.

I potted up my tomatoes and peppers. I transplanted some seedlings. I tidied a bit of the patio but not as much as I would have liked. Planted some sweet peas in the ground.

That's a long way from Lancashire! :hate-shocked:Is it worth travelling all that way to plant tomatoes? :heehee:

Now that the potatoes are showing a gave them a feed - 85 plants. I did not realise that one bag was 3Kg. We shouldn't run short.

I am going to finally get to potting up my sunflowers, transplanting some of my seedlings and also assembling a lean to cold frame I purchased. It is going to be a mostly sunny day and I plan to catch every ray of energy I can! :)

I've just cut the grass, so apart from watering the chilli and tomato collection, I probably don't have any energy to do anything else!!
