What time did you spray them @"M" ? If they had about six hours of dry weather you might be okay?

Not much, apart from enjoy that "after the storm" freshness.

I suppose I've dried 3 loads of washing on the line, weeded around the fruit bushes, put pea-sticks for the mangetout, and tidied up the clematis tangutica which still hasn't shooted....

It's sunny and lovely here surprisingly so have been loafing in the garden sprawled on a comfy lounger with book and cuppas supplied by OH (oh and several bits of battenburg cake ) and just enjoying being in the garden.

            Did a bit of watering.

Update on the bird bath. Not the best of repairs but it seems to be working. The Starlings haven't returned yet but I expect to see them soon......and yes, I have filled it up!

I did tons of pot watering as there's been no rain here for about a week.
Popped to garden centre no.1 for rotted manure, popped to no.2 for Epsom salts, and finally 3 (Wyevale) to use £5 in vouchers to buy some bargain basement perennials.
Need to add the manure and new border can be planned and planted. :hapydancsmil:

Today mow back lawn and final annual planting - Nemesia and Laurentia.
Cranked up the BBQ yesterday , not burning very well so I need to order a new one. Cooked rump steak burgers ,sweetcorn , Chilli onions , and pork and leek sausages - Molly had a sausage specially for her and a spoonful of Kronenbourg beer ! tailwag.gif

You don't need that many! :yikes:
I just put 3-4 per square metre and that is enough. Did that with my dahlia bed a couple of weeks ago. All the pellets are gone but so are the slugs.
I heard they are actually attracted to them?
I put too many with a potted iris and it has been totally munched. Irises in the border with less are unscathed.

                              Hi Charlie,

I agree with you, I generally put mine about a foot apart.

Yeah they are attracted to them. They go to the pellet instead of the plant. So it's important that when one goes missing you replace it. I usually find that just doing that a couple of times after it rains is sufficient.

Potted up 78 leeks, that should see us through. We know quite a few people who will be pleased with anything we send.
