Well, I've done a little gardening before church. Weeded some, transplanted some lychnis, foxgloves, and lambs ears...

Got a few jobs done today, in between cups of tea and listening to the cricket on the radio. :)

In the veg plots; sowed the runner beans, planted out the first of the butternut squash and made another sowing of radishes, mixed lettuce and spring onions.

In the greenhouse; sowed another large pot of carrots (avoids the ravages of carrot fly).

Fed and watered all the pots and containers, pulled out a few weeds which had sneaked into the shrub beds here and there and pulled out a load of Helianthus, before it starts another attempt at taking over the whole garden.

After visiting friends then a much needed nap, husband and I started planting the new border. A few shrubs and roses are in. He spent most of today repairing our shed and replacing the roof, did a grand job.
            Highgrove gardens visit tomorrow!

Not too much yesterday - planted out a couple of dwarf Rhodos and mowed the lawn front and back. Oh and the usual watering. Today I need to plant a hydrangea in the border and into tubs I need to plant a couple of hydrangeas and the new acer. Lots of other stuff to do but I'll decide what else once I've done that.

Will plant up a few big pots of carrots in the poly, and put wigwams up for bridgewater beans and runners. Finish planting dahlias in border, and changing tulip pots for rudbeckia and castor oil

I am to and from the Gazebo, hailing out all the cushions, dead mouse, cleaning the cushions --hard brush with top job, spraying with hose hanging to dry. then mopping out the Gazebo and putting it all back. The steps to and from the Gazebo is 100 paces from our deck and the supplies I need and hanging line. How many calories I will burn today. cushions are 4 for seats at the table. 6 on the couch, two on the chaise lounge. 4 head cushions. and dragging all that furniture outside to mop and sweep. Here's a few pics of today's progress. Everything's almost planned out bar a few fillers. Got most of the bigger shrubs planted, about 4 roses still to go in. Yesterday we moved a spirea and today I moved a rhododendron which wasn't happy elsewhere.
Gave everything a huge watering as we've had no rain for over a week now!

Watered pots and went out for the afternoon. Just looking after what I got now and mowing grass when it needs it. New house still needs tarmac outside.. was supposed to move in this week :( Grass is growing in patches and weeds are taking hold, need to get over there for my sanity!!
