just pulling weeds. And hoping I can give away some plants to my neighbors. Have too many. Also some pruning would be good.

With the destruction of my Lupins by thousands of aphids this year I've cut them down to ground level. The bed looks bare now. :doh:I spent an hour or so finishing off the pot and tray washing, all done! :)

Had a bit of a fraught/confusing day today so decided to start clearing the mass of couch grass which was taking over the walled border. My friend came over and without batting an eyelid got stuck in to help.:spinning: She even weeded the patio.:love30:
Made some space so stuck a few petunias and more dahlias in. Even found a big dahlia from last year shooting underground!:yikes::dbgrtmb:

A couple of things to move. A number of plants to go into a nursery area until I get a new bed dug out for them.
Also going to put some grit round a number of plants struggling to get above ground due to the attention of slugs. At least it won't do any harm.

Will be filling in the pond today :( I like it a lot but with the little one scampering about soon we just don't want the risk.

Is it too big to cover with rebar mesh?

I planted yet another rose "Blackberry Nip." After that it was just a bit of maintenance such as edging and mowing the lawn.
