I bought a new mini greenhouse that had been reduced in Wilko, and put it together
but I slotted the wrong bits into each other, and then, when it wouldn't stand up, I had to take it all apart and start again :heehee:
I've never been good at DIY :dunno: but I got it right in the end :blue thumb:
It's full of cuttings now :yay:

Well done Michael, I take it is one of the ones with plastic covers/zips, if it is buy a replacement cover as I've found in the past that they alter the design slightly the following season and the replacement covers don't fit well.

My first cover lasted over two seasons and now into it's third year. This winter I'll just leave the cover on and take a chance as it think it will rip if i try and take it off. I do have three spare covers bought at Wilko sale for £3 each.

I hope you have heavy duty gloves. Bracken is very dangerous. If the main stem splits (tends to split vertically) it leaves a razor sharp edge :yikes:

Over the last couple of days I've got a lot done.

Half an acre of mowing and lots of edging, putting up climbing facilities for the cobaea scandens that Mrs Shiney has put in pots in the greenhouse. I did that first before it got too hot in there. I was hindered a bit by Sarafi insisting on attention.

Then I've been weeding the new bed (half a wheelie bin full) and some general weeding (another wheelie bin full), I've picked 35lb of rhubarb and now need to package it for sale tomorrow. There's loads more to pick but I can't do any more bending. I also had to drive a 6ft 2"x1" stake 2ft into the ground so that I could tie up the artichokes that had collapsed under their own weight. They were so heavy I had to get someone to give me a hand lifting them!

Also done loads of tying up of plants that had flopped. Perennial graniums look as though elephants have been sitting in the middle of them!

It takes an hour a day watering everything that's under cover and I need to give the plants that are for sale another dose of vine weevil killer. We don't use chemicals in the garden but anything, non-edible, for sale has to be treated.

Thank you all for your kind comments :dbgrtmb: I'm pretty chuffed with it but I'm still tired today and it still needs a bit more done to it!

It didn't come in at that much really, quite pleased  I grew a few plants from seed (rudbeckia, coreopsis, hollyhocks and poppies, can't think what else atm) and moved a few from round the back. Logs, paint, trellis and most of the plants I posted in the "recent purchases" thread were the only things bought for it really and a few plants that I bought in Spring, so I'd say about 60-70 quid :dunno: could have spent ALOT more but I'm too impatient and couldn't wait for a kid free day to go proper garden centre hunting :heehee:

I couldn't do anything outside because of the rain but I did manage to repot some Auriculas, and I took cuttings from them too :blue thumb:

I also picked up some litter from the little road that goes past the back of my garden, and I tied it on a trellis, with a sign saying 'LITTER LOUTS' ... because I am fed up with it and I hope the culprits will see it and stop doing it.
