Just taken delivery of three fence panels and posts to suit, a dumpy bag of granite chippings and sufficient treated board to refurbish the raised beds and the compost heap. So have to move this lot to back of house before too long and then start on repairs.

Granite chippings don't work very well in a compost heap :dunno: :heehee:

Well, I was going to the local tip today, but the rain has put paid to that. I could try to sort out some space in the greenhouse to house the seeds I want to start off, in readiness for next year. The only issue with that is, I need to put stuff outside, to be able to do it. Pouring it is. :frown:
I'll rust and seize up if I stay out in the rain too long. Ho hum.

We've been forecast rain all afternoon and we, so far, got 10 minutes.

Apart from doing some weeding I've picked 35lb of rhubarb and stopped picking because it had started raining. I've weighed it and packaged it for sale this afternoon.

Fresh rhubarb anyone? Approx. 1lb 3oz for a pound. All money goes to charity. :dbgrtmb:

Good afternoon my Bark chippings have arrived but I am so cream crackered carrying it up from the lorry to my house :phew: that the spreading of it can wait until tomorrow ;)

I spent time gingerly weeding my two tier bed today, trying not to walk on the pathetic display of annuals again this year. Still, it should be the last time I have to weed it.

I was finally able to cut back this shrub. I've been wanting to do it for weeks but never got around to it ...

                  Before :-

The blue sheets are to catch the debris, so that it's easier to dispose of. :blue thumb:

Not very tidy because of my arthritic shoulders, but it will have to do

Finally managed to get to the local refuse site yesterday, so now the wood shed is cleared of rubbish, I can spend time over the autumn sorting it out. Today I will be digging over one of the flower borders and popping in some of the rescued plants I've bought recently. Hope that they'll give a little more flourish before the Summer season ends. Once it starts that is...... :heehee:

mown the grass and took all side shoots off my golden sunrise toms.. took few pics with a spare phone I found in the drawer.

Old man came over yesterday and wired up some new lights around my patio (3 quid clearance from bnq :blue thumb:) and he's finishing it off later on and bringing his disc cutter so the Mr can dismantle the trampoline :hapfeet::hapydancsmil::yes: scrap man has promised the last 2 years to come and sort it.. he never did, the :mute: :heehee:

I've been busy over the past couple of days. Narrowing the Siberian Pea hedge, attempting to shred the cuttings, mowing the lawn, and laying a new strip of lawn to tidy up the front before planting that part of the garden next Spring.

Probably a good subject for a topic, but doing these jobs, the thought occurred that we gardeners are being ripped off by machinery manufacturers...Does anyone else agree?
