Awwww Thank-you :ThankYou: it took a couple of months for me to design and draw it. But with a lot of muck shovelling we managed it. It took 26 bags of 125l compost :thud: we are hoping to get started properly next growing season :-) hoping to have a look at the competition at harrogate this year and maybe show there next year :hapfeet: Hope you are okay :-)

I was thinking of something along those lines. I want to keep the woodland feel with planting a few more shrubs and trees, ferns, woodland type flowers, etc. I wonder if a rockery might look out of place ?? I've never attempted creating a garden from scratch before. I like the challenge but also worry about botching it up.

In the side garden I planted white Lavendendula and verbena earlier this year and I was thinking of something similar where the patio slabs are. Not sure I could get away with another tree, might look odd so close to the Willow. I was thinking of the verbena as a central point and them something around that. Also going to plant around the bird bath and move the pots around. IMG_20170803_1813304_rewind.jpg

I googled the heleniums as not heard of them. They look lovely and good choice for wildlife too :).

Is it hardy Verdun ? I already got agastache black adder and I am chuffed to bits with it, took some cutting yesterday, I am not to sure it will survive the winter though.
