Phew! Nowhere near as bad as it could have been. Hair was a bit of a mess but apart from that all was ok!

Today I had a bulk bag of bark chippings delivered. Although I live on a main road, there is a significant drop between the road and my driveway. There is also a street lamp strategically placed about a foot from the drive opening. This combination meant that the delivery driver was obliged to drop the bulk bag on the curb side of the hedge. I had a bulk bag delivered by a different company some months back and that driver managed to get the back just inside our gateway. Today's driver didn't want to know.

Living on a main road there is no way that I am going to leave that bag out there for anybody to help themselves. I have therefore spent the whole day wheelbarrowing the lot from the top of the drive to the bottom of the back garden. It's not particularly far but it's far enough. Eventually I got to a point where the bag was light enough for me to drag it into the drive. It's still not empty but at least now it's out of sight from the road. :blue thumb:

Needless to say I am absolutely shattered. :snooze:

Nothing done in the garden again, too much to do and not enough time to do it all :wallbanging:. Plus not got much enthusiasm at moment.

Currently sat in bed looking out at the side garden and wondering where to start. Would actually like to continue sitting in bed . However, skip is still on the drive so really need to spend some time on the ' project ' outside the back door and get rid of more gravel. And grass cutting. And a whole load of other jobs.

The little hog with the leg injury is not so good:sad:. He spent two days at vets being poked and prodded by three vets but no one actually took an x- ray  :gaah:. I really think there is more going on than just a leg fracture that has healed badly, hence the dragging leg. Maybe more fractures and a head trauma. He is so weak now I doubt he would survive an x-ray. At the moment he is unable to stand up or eat for himself, so I am syringe feeding every few hours. Its possible he is just stressed and exhausted by the time at the vets but if no improvement by Monday I will take him back with a view to PTS to prevent further suffering .

Lucius you can't beat your dedication for the poor little guys. I also had one with a dragging broken leg that got infected and had to be put to sleep. After that I removed all the chicken wire from my garden as that's usually the culprit :dunno:

Well done Snorky, I'm sure you did brill. I have recorded & will watch you later! Famous on twitter too, a retweet from Monty's dog Nellie haha.

Well done @Snorky85 . You have a lovely garden. Thank you for making a film about clay soil. My clay isn't as heavy as yours but it's good to know what I can do with it. I have arranged to collect some horse manure from a local stables and I have a bulk bag of bark chippings way in excess of what I needed.

My neighbour grows his own veg in his soil. He also grew a clematis this year that flowered beautifully if briefly.

Thank you @Zigs for uploading the video. It was so much easier than firing up the tv and top box.

I found the whole program very interesting. Perhaps I should reserve a time slot each week to keep up with it.
