:wow: Your things don't last long!!! :snorky: I gave our sofa away after 35 years. I understand that it's still in use (3rd owner) 17 years later :heehee:

There are complicated sections of the retail laws but most good retailers will accept the responsibility of replacing items under manufacturer guarantees and then reclaim from the manufacturer (they have protection under the law as well).

Are you sure you're not Mrs Shiney signed on under a different name? :th scifD36: :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

My wife used to live near the coast. She misses it.

I use to have a rampant periwinkle under a bench. When I cleared it away, I found all sorts of things. :snorky:

I took a few heliotropes down to local Age Concern a day or two ago. Apparently the folk there love them. They are in the well lit foyer and in the large conservatory so hopefully will flower all winter. Good feeling and nice to know such a small thing brings so much pleasure:)

Impatient to get some autumn planting done even though its a pretty good summery day. Pulled up a couple of Gaillardias, still flowering but needs must! Rooted stems potted up and a large wallflower planted....already 80 cm or so tall,,bushy and with intact rootball. Two salvias, Violin Music and Blue Note, dug up too and the runners potted up. Again wallflowers replaced them.

Some decisions to make too......do I really want a variegated box there? Do I really like Berberis Helmond Pillar? .....another purple canna could look better in its place!:noidea:
I guess many of you are also thinking of ringing the changes or have suddenly tired of certain plants!:love30:

Wet here today but lovely for wet flower photography so I went out to capture some raindrops on roses etc. The ground is too wet for planting so I'm glad I got the majority of my replanting done earlier this week.

The sun's just come out  so the afternoon looks promising for appreciating the garden but not doing anything. Summerhouse beckons.

Ah I wish I could move back. We've just moved here...halfway back home...i said I wouldn't marry him unless we moved closer to my family (the inlaws-ie mother/sister in law are hell). Need to be near London/Heathrow for his work so we've ended up here. Two hours closer to my family and about two hours away from his! Lol.

I'm wondering if we don't get to buy the field at the back of us that we might invest in a seaside holiday let...hmmm!

Speaking of inlaws....have them visiting for the weekend so have been outside making sure the garden is up to standard...dont need anyone looking down their snout at me! Have jet washered all the patios and its looking neat and tidy. Just been in the hot tub with a nice belgian beer to relax. Was nice out there with the lights on.

Luckily the rain had stopped this afternoon so was quite pleasant. It rained all day yesterday so didnt do any gardening but was good for the plants I transplanted on wednesday :)

The back garden has progressed to this
                              IMG_20170929_1757461_rewind.jpg
Need to order some top soil and maybe some sand/grit might help too. The bit with new soil on doesn't get waterlogged.

Also spent some time enlarging this and have added another hardy Geranium. I had a bag of mixed spring bulbs, which I meant to put it. Just added final shovel of gravel and noticed the bag sat a few feet away :gaah:. Too tired to do anything about it by that point. Also, not sure I like it now I've finished it or more accurately I'm not sure how it will sit with rest of the garden once it's been done. Stuck a few Daffodil bulbs in under the pine tree and called it a day.

Roger's sister always conveys the impression she considers herself far superior to me in every way possible. You are not alone.
